Lovecard App - UX/UI Research & Design

Product Vision and Process

To design a product that is useful and meets real needs, my first step is always to conduct research with real people. Prior to research, I defined the business and research goal to look at what I need to accomplish and how I can go about achieving that.

Business goal

To build a new social app that couples (between age 25–40) can use to connect and share moments exclusively with each other.

Research Goal

To understand my target customers’ usage patterns on social apps when connecting with their partners, the existing services they use, and any fun facts or experiences they discovered or had when using social apps.

Survey

To ensure participants match my customer profile (age 25–40, in a relationship/married, avid users of social apps), I sent a screener to participants prior to the survey and gathered a total of 24 responses.

User Interviews

I spoke to a group of people who matched my research criteria for an in-depth understanding on their motivations/frustrations in a long-term relationship, and any concerns they may have when using social apps.
